About me

Research Areas

My main interests are based in the high performance computing and parallelization of software.

During my master's thesis, I analyzed and applied artificial intelligence and data mining techniques to make predictions in the electricity load forecasting domain. This resulted in a publication, which you can find in the publication section.

For my PhD, I will be working with high performance computing and parallelization. The objective is to ensure real-time execution of computer vision software. The software is motivated in the human visual system, computational neuroscience and realized as the art of pointilism. The real-time aspect is very important since the software will be used in an autonomous system that will control a car. To solve the issues with real-time, the software must be adapted to run on a small cluster of multi-core workstations.
